Background

Fibronectin-like domain-containing leucine-rich transmembrane protein 1 (FLRT1) is a member of the fibronectin leucine rich transmembrane protein (FLRT) family. The three fibronectin leucine-rich repeat transmembrane (FLRT) proteins includes FLRT1, FLRT2 and FLRT3. FLRT1 contains one fibronectin type-III domain, ten LRR (leucine-rich) repeats, one LRRCT domain, one LRRNT domain. FLRT1 is expressed in kidney and brain. FLRT1 may have a function in cell adhesion and/or receptor signaling.
