  • Product Overview

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF or VEGF-A) is a signaling protein that stimulates the formation of blood vessels (angiogenesis). There are several members of the VEGF family, with VEGF-A being the main and most extensively studied one. VEGF proteins function as homodimers (two identical subunits) linked by disulfide bonds. Each subunit is approximately 40–45 kDa, and the VEGF-A dimer binds to VEGF receptors (VEGFRs) on endothelial cells. Human VEGF ELISA Kit is a ready-to-use immunoassay kit, specifically designed to quantitate natural and recombinant human VEGF/VEGF-A dimers that is present in biological samples, such as human serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. Our ELISA Kit provides several benefits:

    1. Standards to calibrate with NIBSC/WHO standards for comparable results.
    2. Fully validation in biologic samples for detection range, sensitivity, inter- and intra-plate CV, recovery, dilution linearity, specificity, and matrix effects to ensure reliable results according to ICH M10 guideline.
    3. High-quality antibody pairs and protein standards, along with rigorous quality control, to guarantee consistent results across different batches.
    4. Simplified and straightforward protocols and ready-to-use reagents to save assay time.

Elevate your research experience with our Cytokine/Biomarker Detection Kits, where accuracy, reliability, and ease of use are converging to deliver exceptional results.

  • Application

This kit is specifically designed for the accurate quantification of human VEGF/VEGF-A dimers in cell culture supernatants, serum, and plasma. The standard used is a recombinant VEGF dimer protein, and the antibodies specifically recognize the VEGF dimer.

It is for research use only.

Performance Data

  • Typical Data

Please refer to DS document for the assay protocol.

     VEGF-A TYPICAL DATA

For each experiment, a standard curve needs to be set for each microplate, and the specific OD value may vary depending on different laboratories, testers, or equipment. The following example data is for reference only. The sample concentration was calculated based on the results of the standard curve. The minimum detectable concentration of VEGF is less than 7 pg/mL.

Validation
  • Sample Values

Serum Sample: Twenty-four healthy serum donors were evaluated for the concentrations of human VEGF in assay.

     VEGF-A SAMPLE VALUES
  • Intra-Assay Statistics

Ten replicates of each of three samples containing different VEGF concentrations were tested in one assay. Acceptable criteria: CV<10%.

     VEGF-A INTRA-ASSAY STATISTICS
  • Inter-Assay Statistics

Three samples containing different concentrations of VEGF were tested in independent assays. Acceptable criteria: CV<15%.

     VEGF-A INTER-ASSAY STATISTICS
  • Recovery

Recombinant VEGF was spiked into three human serum samples, and then analyzed. The average recovery of VEGF for serum samples is 85.87%.
